Job overview

Minerva's Virtual Academy is a multi-award winning online school for students aged 11 to 18. Currently in a high phase of growth, MVA is seeking a highly motivated Admissions Advisor to facilitate prospective parents, students, and potential partners through our admissions process.

Come and help us transform education for 1000s of children who are being let down by the traditional system...and help us to build the world's most incredible school...

Work Environment:

MVA offers a dynamic, rewarding, and exciting work environment unlike other schools or educational environments. The role presents a remarkable opportunity for the right candidate to be part of a fully remote team passionate about leading change in the education sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Have a sales-minded, confident attitude to overseeing the admissions process from initial enquiry to student enrolment
  • Representing MVA by hosting Family Discovery Calls (Google Meet chats with our prospective families)
  • Proactivity in providing rapid, smart, joyful, and empathetic customer service to prospective families across all stages of the pipeline
  • Confidence to call families who have shown an interest in MVA to explain how our amazing school works and the problems it can solve
  • Availability and desire to appear at virtual Open Events representing MVA, and, as you grow into the role, host Q&As and Admissions events
  • Creative and collaborative spirit required to work with our leadership team to constantly improve our processes, services and growth strategy
  • Helping your colleagues in the Admissions team meet or exceed annual recruitment targets
  • Willingness to help automate processes where possible to build a scalable, AI-assisted 21st century admissions system
  • Efficient mindset to maintain the admission teams’ ‘Inbox Zero’ policy
  • Diligence to input and maintain contacts on iSAMS, our School Customer Relationship Management system

Training on the above will be provided - though we are ideally looking for candidates who believe they can hit the ground running!

Requirements:

  • 1.7 million children are currently out school in the UK - we are looking for candidates who have the desire, ambition, and empathy to fix this problem
  • Exceptional organisational and administrative skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proven experience in customer relations and team collaboration
  • High level of integrity, drive, and stamina
  • Professional demeanour in both telephonic and face-to-face interactions

Desirable:

  • Experience with all or some of the following: iSAMS / Canvas / Hubspot / Google Sheets, Drive, & Docs / Google Education Suite / Zapier / Mailchimp
  • Previous experience in educational institution admissions
  • Tech-savvy and detail-oriented
  • An understanding of the education sector
  • Experience in managing sales targets and working towards KPIS

The position is remote, though successful applicants will be required to meet in London four times a year.
