This March 18th - 24th, we step into Neurodiversity Celebration Week 2024, an opportunity to deepen our understanding and appreciation of the diverse ways our brains operate. As a school committed to inclusivity and understanding, we're excited to guide you through what this week has to offer and why it matters.
Why Focus on Neurodiversity?
At MVA, nearly half of our students are on the SEND register. We're a community rich in diversity, with neurodivergence touching many of our lives directly. Understanding neurodiversity - from ADHD and autism to dyslexia and dyspraxia - is not just about recognising differences but about valuing them as strengths.
What's Happening This Week?
Neurodiversity Celebration Week promises an impressive lineup of events. They’re hosting panels with speakers from various backgrounds to explore critical topics in neurodiversity. These events aim to educate and inspire, fostering a space for conversation and learning.
These discussions aren't just academic; they're about real-life experiences and insights that can benefit all of us. Whether you're deeply familiar with neurodiversity or just starting to learn, there's something in this week for you.
All events are free and open to everyone - students, parents, educators, and friends alike are welcome. It's a fantastic opportunity to broaden your horizons and connect with others in the community.
Stay Connected
To make sure no one misses out, the events will be recorded. By registering, you’ll have access to these resources after, allowing our community to engage and learn at their own pace.

As we participate in Neurodiversity Celebration Week, let's reflect on how we can contribute to an environment that supports and cherishes the diverse ways our minds work. This week is more than just an event; it's a reminder of our ongoing commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning space for everyone.
We hope you'll join us in this important week of learning, growth, and celebration.
