We are excited to announce that we have partnered with Tennis Esports as their official online school partner. This partnership is particularly noteworthy as it aligns with our vision at Minerva's Virtual Academy of being a world leader in forward-thinking education, and providing our students with the most innovative and engaging learning opportunities, including the use of virtual reality technology.
Tennis Esports is a virtual sports application developed by the Vienna-based startup VR Motion Learning. It provides an interactive tennis experience that can be played virtually anywhere by anyone with just a Meta Quest 2 headset. You can train different exercises with a virtual ball machine, try to hit a high score in an Arcade game, match your friends online or even play against yourself. For the first time, hundreds of tennis players from around the world will meet on Tennis Esports virtual reality courts and compete in the Tennis Esports Cup 2022.
"We are always looking for ways to improve how our pupils can engage and have fun with each other across virtual space," said Hugo Davison, Head of Digital at MVA. "Tennis Esports has the best VR tennis simulator game we've seen, and we're delighted to be using it at our events to promote our award-winning online school."
As an official online school partner of Tennis Europe, we will be using Tennis Esports at all Tennis Europe events we attend, giving young tennis stars of the future the opportunity to learn more about our school while they enjoy themselves through interactive VR gaming.
Last year we took our first steps into the world of virtual tennis, where 100s of young tennis pro's joined us at the Bath Junior International.
