🎉 Enrolment Checklist: 🎉
Meet our Principal Suzanne Lindley and discover how Minerva's Virtual Academy (MVA) is transforming education for students aged 11-18, wherever they are in the world.
Dear Parent,
The world has undergone rapid changes in recent years, and so has the way we educate our children. That's why I'm thrilled to welcome you to Minerva's Virtual Academy, an award-winning school that combines the best of tradition and innovation to provide your child with an exceptional education that's right for them.
Unlike at bricks and mortar schools, our students learn predominately at home, where they can be themselves and explore their passions. Our dedicated teachers bring the British curriculum to life through the power of Flipped Learning, which combines Guided Self Study with daily Live Lessons. We offer a range of extracurricular activities and clubs that allow pupils to pursue their interests and develop new skills.
But what truly sets Minerva's Virtual Academy apart is how much we know our students as individuals. Our inspiring personal mentors (a first for any school that I have taught at) offer invaluable guidance and support, helping your child to unlock their full potential and achieve their goals. We foster a strong sense of community, where pupils can make friends and connections across cultures and borders that will last a lifetime.
Please take the time to explore our website and learn more about what we have to offer. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We would be delighted to help you make the best decision for your child's future.

Small class sizes, a forward-thinking curriculum, teachers from the UK's top schools - all brought to life by our brilliant personal mentors who help our students learn at home and feel at home, wherever they are, wherever they’re going.
Away from the pressures of the traditional classroom, and with the help of their personal mentor, our students find focus and confidence that can help them flourish.
Our teaching philosophy stems from building confidence to unlock academic performance and personal growth. We help our students overcome any challenges from their past and build resilience and essential skills to help them in their future.
Traditional schools aren't built for trailblazers, whether you're pursuing sport or developing an early career in the arts or on the stage.
At MVA, Live Lessons can be rewatched and self-study work can fit around unconventional schedules, supporting young performers to pursue their passions without compromising on their education.
Thanks to the power of Flipped Learning, our brightest students can study more subjects, and in more detail, than they would be able to at traditional school.
We also provide expert mentorship and coaching to help inspire our students to reach new heights to accomplish their goals.
The ethos at MVA embraces the uniqueness of each student's learning journey, nurturing an environment steeped in inclusivity and understanding. With a dedicated, full-time SENDCo, experienced SEND mentors, and teachers, we provide personalised support tailored to each student's needs.
Our entire school approach is geared towards fostering an environment that changes attitudes towards inclusive education and diversified learning needs.
Being a virtual school with no fixed campus means we can extend the excellence of a British education to students around the world - ideal for families on the move or those in regions where access to top-tier education may be limited.
Studying the British curriculum paves the way for a fantastic future - from entrepreneurship and the arts to pursuing university education in the UK or anywhere in the world.
Starting from Assembly at 9.00am GMT on Monday, a typical week at MVA offers a blend of Live Lessons with our brilliant subject teachers, guided-self study, personal mentoring, and stimulating activities like World Changers and After School Clubs.
We're everything a modern school should be - flexible, inclusive, and globally minded, guiding each student on their journey through their GCSEs, A Levels and filling them with confidence for the world beyond.
MVA was launched by Minerva Tutors, the UK’s leading provider of private homeschooling to children aged 5 to 18. Head to our About page for more information.
Last year, our pass rate for GCSE grades 9 - 4 (equivalent to A* - C) was a strong 80%, outshining the average of traditional schools at 73%. When it comes to top grades, our students also excelled, with a whopping 34% achieving grades 9 - 7 (A* - A), compared to the average of 26% in traditional schools.
If you'd like to hear more about the MVA experience directly from our community of parents, get in touch - we’d be delighted to connect you with families who live in your vicinity or who are eager to share their stories!

The MVA difference & why we're ahead of the rest
Your child can join us at the beginning of term, or midway through the term at one of our rolling intake days. Please get in touch to find out when the next intake day is.
Every family is different - while some parents prefer to be actively involved in their child's education, others may prefer a different approach. In our experience, a balanced approach, where parents and our experienced educators work together, yields the best results. Whether it's setting daily schedules, discussing well-being, or engaging in open communication, we encourage a collaborative effort to support each student's academic journey and overall development.
Fostering friendships and activity between students has been a priority for us since the beginning. Students can get to know each other in Live Lessons, as well as Student-led clubs, Social Rooms, After School Clubs, and then come together to strengthen these relationships on in-person (non-mandatory) School Trips.
The biggest difference is the flexibility and personalised approach that online education offers. At MVA, students have the freedom to learn at their own pace and on their own schedule, guided by their very own personal mentor.
Our teachers are highly qualified and experienced. Many of whom have come to us from positions as Head of Departments at bricks and mortar school. Eachof our teachers is passionate about online schooling and how it can help more students than ever unlock their potential. You can meet them here.
Absolutely! MVA offers a rigorous curriculum that prepares students for university and beyond. The British A Level qualification (exams are usually sat at aged 18) are accepted as entry to almost every university around the world. We also offer full UCAS and university entrance help as part of our Sixth Form programme.
Whether you're exploring online school for the first time or thinking of switching to MVA in the coming weeks, let us know and we'll add you to our communications :)
